The Central PA Civil War Round Table will meet on Tuesday evening, May 6, at the PA Military Museum auditorium, 51 Boal Avenue, in Boalsburg beginning at 7:00 p.m.
Michael Miller will speak on “Even to Hell Itself, Battle of North Anna River.”
150 years ago, events in the United States were turbulent, uncertain, nationalistic, and full of terror. The Battle of North Anna River was fought in central Virginia 150th years ago from May 23 – 26, 1864, as part of Lt. General Ulysses S. Grant’s Overland Campaign against Confederate General Robert E. Lee’s Army of Northern Virginia.
Mr. Miller is an Archives professional for the Marine Corps and wrote a book about the North Anna River campaign. A graduate of the University of Alabama and Virginia Tech University with a Masters Degree in American History, he began work in 1983 as curator of personal papers at the U. S. Marine Corps History and Museums Division.
He has worked on several major exhibits on Marine Corps history and written numerous articles on Civil War and Marine Corps history.
