Penn State Polar Day

Penn State Polar Day is a free day of activities for adults and young adults to explore the beauty and cultural value of the Polar Regions -- will be held in the HUB at Penn State University Park Campus on Saturday, April 19th. The keynote speaker, Felicity Aston, is a meteorologist, explorer, and writer who is the first woman to ski across the Antarctic alone. Other events include remotely operated vechicle demo sessions, the documentary “People of A Feather”, data sonification performance, and presentations by Dr. Julienne Stroeve (“The Arctic On The Fast Track Of Change”) and Dr. James Dixon (“Archeology on Ice”).
