Gas Prices on the Rise
The break from higher gas prices didn’t last long as prices jumped almost fifty cents in the last month and four cents in just the last week. Current prices in the State College area range from $3.69 per gallon to $3.89. Prices in Bellefonte are also similar. AAA says there are several proven myths when it comes to saving gas mileage. Adding things to your gas or replacing the compressed tire air with nitrogen and overinflating tires will not boost fuel efficiency.
State College Roadwork Planned
The 100 block of West Prospect Avenue between Fraser Street and Walnut Street in the State College Borough will be closed today and tomorrow. The Borough Public Works Department is repairing a storm sewer line. The closure will last between 7:30 am and 5:00 pm, weather permitting.
