Break-ins In Ferguson Township

Ferguson Township Police are warning residents about a string of car break-ins over the weekend. Police say unlocked vehicles had small electronics and cash taken in the Pine Grove Mills, Hillside Farms, Thistlewood, Somerset and Westfield neighborhoods. Folks are reminded to lock cars and trucks and take garage door openers and valuables inside. Anyone with more information should contact police immediately.


Women's Soccer Fundraiser

Penn State women’s soccer is hosting a fundraiser on Friday evening at the Minitab facility in State College. The team is attempting to raise money to travel abroad this spring. A Silent Auction and Wine and Beer Tasting is planned from 6:30 until 9:30 pm. Auction items include National Team memorabilia, golf packages, vacation packages and gift baskets. Tickets are available for $25 each with more information online at psuwsoccerbc.org.


Planning Commission Meeting

The State College Borough Planning Commission will hold a special neighborhood planning meeting tonight at Grace Lutheran Church on South Garner Street. The public is invited to attend and provide input. The commission will also meet later this week for a regularly scheduled meeting. Tonight’s event begins at 7 pm.
