Winter Storm to Hit East
A major winter storm could hamper millions traveling throughout the northeast during the Thanksgiving holiday. Currently, the track of the storm is projected along the east coast, bringing snow across the western portion of the state and rain to much of the coastal areas, including the I-95 corridor. A wintry mix is expected to begin in our area on Tuesday afternoon with snow overnight and a mix of precipitation on Wednesday.
I-80 Crash Halts Traffic
An 18-year-old New Jersey woman is recovering from a two-car crash on I-80 westbound on Saturday night. According to police, the woman lost control of her car due to icy conditions on the highway. Her car spun around and was hit head-on by another car heading in the same direction, before coming to rest against a tractor-trailer already stuck in a ditch. The woman was taken to Mount Nittany Medical Center with moderate injuries. Folks trying to head west on the highway after Penn State’s football game were encouraged to take alternate routes.
