Hearing Starts Tomorrow

A pre-trial hearing for former Penn State administrators Graham Spanier, Tim Curley ad Gary Schultz begins tomorrow. According to the Centre Daily Times, the hearings could last until Friday. Possible arguments for both the defense and prosecution are unknown. The report states former-university lawyer Cynthia Baldwin is expected to testify during the pretrial hearing next week in Harrisburg

Snow Packs a Punch

The first major snowfall hit the area on Saturday. Snow totals varied throughout central Pennsylvania. Altoona received 9 inches of snow, while in State College roughly 6 inches of snow was reported. Northeast P-A was hit hard with over a foot of snow throughout the Pocono Mountains. Most snow emergencies in State College and surrounding municipalities have expired. Don’t expect the snow to melt anytime soon, cold weather will last until Thursday or Friday.


Driving Dangers lead to Proposal

Pennsylvania Senator Lisa Boscola wants the state to pass legislation requiring box trucks and tractor trailers to clear snow and ice from the top of their vehicles before traveling. Boscola introduced the legislation last March, but is still optimistic it will pass. The proposal would institute a $25 - $75 penalty for drivers who fail to remove the frozen precipitation.
