SEXUAL ABUSE REPORTS POSSIBLE
Inmates at the Centre County Correctional Facility will soon have access to a phone hotline to report sexual abuse. According to the Centre Daily Times, the Centre County Board of Commissioners approved an agreement Sunday with the state Department of Corrections to establish a line at SCI-Camp Hill to receive calls from people wanting to report a crime. The third party reporting method is required by the National Standard to Prevent, Detect and Respond to Prison Rape under the Prison Rape Elimination Act.

The Centre County Youth Service Bureau is preparing to move its Bellefonte home. According to the Centre Daily Times, county officials are forcing the organization to find a new headquarters due to construction at the Temple Court Building in Bellefonte. The center currently offers after-school and early-evening programs on weekdays in the borough. Officials are contemplating a temporary and permanent move as construction won’t conclude until 2016.
