Lawyers Ask Court for No Stay

Lawyers for Victim 6 in the Jerry Sandusky case are fighting to avoid a stay on a civil lawsuit filed against Penn State , the Second Mile and Sandusky. According to the Centre Daily Times, lawyers filed court papers on Friday requesting a hearing over the potential hold. Papers argue that the victim has already suffered for more than a decade and proceedings should move forward. Penn State and The Second Mile want the case delayed until criminal cases against former university administrators are completed. 

Penn State Sues Insurer

Penn State is suing one of its insurance providers. According to the Centre Daily Times, the university says the company did not cover against claims by 30 men alleging abuse by Jerry Sandusky. Penn State filed the suit against the Pennsylvania Manufacturers’ Association Insurance Company over breach of contract, anticipatory breach of contract and bad faith yesterday.
