Student Charged for Child Pornography
A 19-year-old Penn State student is facing charges on 53 counts of child pornography. State Attorney General Kathleen Kane says Ian Shulman used internet file-sharing programs to download, share, and possess child porn. Shulman surrendered Friday to agents from the child predator unit and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for Wednesday in Centre County Court. He is facing up to seven years in prison and a $15,000 fine for each count. State College Attorney Joe Amendola will represent Shulman.
PennDot will conduct spring maintenance across Centre County this week. Guiderail repairs and sweeping will occur across the area Monday through Friday. Additionally, trim trimming will take place on Route 322 from Philipsburg to Port Matilda in Worth and Rush Townships.
