MAN PLEADS GUILTY 

A 26-year-old Bellefonte man is responsible for two armed robberies at State College businesses. According to Statecollege.com, Jonathan Tenalio entered his guilty plea Monday in Centre County Court. On three consecutive days, Tenalio stole cash from the Cove Pizzeria in State College, then Doan’s Bones Barbecue in McAlevy’s Fort and finally the Nittany Budget Motel in Ferguson Township. Sentencing is scheduled for June 6th.


STABBING AT PITTSBURGH AREA SCHOOL

All 24 people injured in yesterday’s mass stabbing at a Pittsburgh Area High School are expected to survive. According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, around 7:15 am, 16-year-old sophomore Alex Hribal allegedly attacked students at Franklin Regional Senior High School in Murrysville. Police say Hribal wielded two 8-inch kitchen knives before behind wrestled to the floor of a school hallway and disarmed by a security guard and school administrator. Hribal was arraigned yesterday evening on four counts of attempted homicide, 21 counts of aggravated assault and one count of possessing a prohibited weapon on school property.

PLANNING COMMISSION

The State College Borough Planning Commission will meet tonight at 7 in Room 304 of the downtown municipal building. Officials will review the final draft of the State College Neighborhood Plan. Borough staff anticipates the Commission presenting the final draft at the next Borough Council meeting. Additionally, community-wide planning updates are scheduled to be discussed for the Downtown Master Plan and Homestead Investment Project.
