Former Penn State Administrators Graham Spanier, Tim Curley and Gary Shultz will share the same preliminary hearing on December 13, and if necessary December 14, in the Dauphin County courthouse. All three men face charges of perjury, failure to report abuse, obstruction of justice, criminal conspiracy and child endangerment.

Auditor general Jack Wagner will outline the results of a report on Penn State governance during a press conference today at the capitol. Wagner has criticized the University for allowing its president to have too much power and accuses the University of sharing too little information.

Drivers should expect delays on Route 26 today in the area of Bellfonte/161 interchange of I-80. Crews are continuing preservation work on bridges spanning the interstate in this area. Traffic will be reduced to a single lane with an alternating traffic pattern through most of the day.

Jerry Sandusky’s defense team is asking for two additional weeks to submit legal briefs supporting his bid to have his conviction overturned and a new trial granted. The lawyers say they need more time to go over the many documents released during sentencing, and the new appeal lawyer, Norris Gelman, is still recovering from a heart attack and open heart surgery,

19 year old Richard Martinez was sentenced yesterday to 8 – 16 years in a state prison for robbing and threatening to kill four teenage boys on Centre Hall Mountain in May. Police say Martinez forced the boys to the ground, kicked on of them in the face and went through their backpacks and pockets and stole their iPods.

Penn Staters or any other members of the public who wish to address their views to the Board of Trustees at their next meeting have until today at 1:30 to register to do so. The Trustees meeting is scheduled for Friday at 1:30 at the Penn Stater Conference Center Hotel, and the public period is set for 3:15.

The sex scandal involving former CIA chief David Petraeus and General John Allen are generating more questions for Defense Secretary Leon Panetta. Addressing reporters overnight in Australia, Panetta said Allen – who is being investigated for alleged inappropriate communication with a woman linked to Petraeus – quote “has my continued confidence.”

More than three-quarters-of-a-billion additional shares of Facebook stock are available for sale today. The shares are mostly owned by employees who received them as part of their compensation before the company’s long awaited initial public offering last May. Some market analysts worry that the added shares could drive the company’s stock as rules end to keep investors from cashing out.
