Analysis:

Aaron Donald is one of the most explosive defensive lineman in the past several years. His size, height and game style is reminiscent of Vikings Hall of Famer John Randle. Donald is a force in the passing game by using his blazing fast speed and power that he gains by leveraging taller blockers. He explodes off the ball and quickly gets into the blockers chest. He splits the gap in the running game and knifes into the backfield to make a ton of ‘wow’ plays. He’s not great against the run and doesn’t hold the point of attack well. His functional strength is negated by larger defenders. At 285 most blockers have at least 15 pounds on Donald. He’ll have to be used properly and isn’t exactly scheme versatile.
