Strengths

·         Elite NFL size and wingspan

·         Very strong player

·         Good quickness off the LoS

·         Acceptable foot quickness for left side

·         Engulfs defenders when he gets his hands on them

·         Can mirror pass rusher and extend the pocket

 

Weaknesses

·         Clear underachiever, should be dominant but is not

·         Doesn’t play under control, loses balance too often

·         Bends at the waist and lunges at defenders

·         Has a hard time stalking LB’s at second level

·         Doesn’t dominate in the running game

·         Footwork, hand fighting and technique are unrefined

·         Effort and commitment are in question

·         Leans on blockers instead of locking out

·         Does not play with nastiness or physicality

 

Analysis:


Antonio Richardson should be an elite tackle prospect in this year’s draft. However, his lack of refinement in his technique, discipline and questions about his work ethic will push him down draft boards. Richardson has the size, strength and athleticism to play on the left or right side at the next level but the light has to come on for him.
