Strengths

·         Good size, speed and quickness

·         Fluid hips that can flip and cover man

·         Played three positions for Minnesota

·         Intelligent player who sets the defense

·         Fills the alley well,

 

 

Weaknesses

·         Doesn’t have great lower body thickness, more of a corner’s body

·         Doesn’t generate a lot of power in tackle, not a thumper

·         Doesn’t have a true position

·         Won’t be an all-around safety

 

Analysis:

Brock Vereen will have a spot on the field. The question is just where. He’s got the speed, size and fluidity to play corner, but he lacks the experience or overall positional skill for it. He’s not a thumper of a safety but he’s a solid tackler, smart and he gets everyone in the right position. He’s a great utility player. Brother Shane, plays for the Patriots at running back.
