DaQuan Jones was a good player at Penn State. Given his size and explosiveness, he should have been better. He’s not great against the run. He takes some plays off and he will need to be monitored closely. Given his ceiling, he will be drafted early. He is a 1 gap penetrator who can cause problems for an offense by disrupting the play in the backfield. He’s got a great first step and when he’s going forward, he keeps his pad level low and wins the leverage battle. If the defender gets his hands into his chest, he’s easy to push off the spot. Can play five technique in a 3-4 or 3 technique in a 4-3.
