Strengths

·         Big bodied 5 technique DE

·         Good quickness for his size, has good initial burst off the ball

·         Can push the pocket and bull rush, uses leverage

·         Digs heels in and controls his gap in running game

·         Decent swim move,

·         Smart player, plays with hustle and attitude

·         Good football instincts and awareness

·         Hard worker who does the dirty jobs

Weaknesses

·         Not very explosive

·         Doesn’t have many pass rushing moves in his repertoire

·         Doesn’t have top end speed or elite speed rushing ability

·         Can sometimes get caught on blocks and doesn’t disengage

·         Hip stiffness doesn’t allow him to bend edge as outside rusher

·         Doesn’t play with a lot of strength. Untapped potential.

Analysis:

Hart is a tough, gritty hard working five technique defensive end who will probably be best suited for a 3-4 defensive end position. He’s got good size and quickness. He doesn’t play up to his size and if he can play with more strength he has the potential to dominate the man opposite him. He’s got a lot of Mike Divito in his game play. Does everything right, just not a great athlete. Will need time to develop pass rush skills at the next level. There’s potential here.
